buy a better antenna. I live 25 miles from tv towers. I can receive the channels, as long as I am not in my basement (where I want to be during tornado warnings). Battery life seems around 2 hours playing dvds. NO VOLUME CONTROL ON REMOTE.

I bought this for a trip in the car with the kids. Well, forget the trip! I am loving the digital TV picture this little gadget gets. I live in a major metropolitan area so I can get many, many channels. Everyone I show this TV to can't believe the quality of the picture. No need for cable TV anymore!! The only real downside is the screen size, but you know that going into the purchase. DVD's play great too, and with the remote control it makes things really simple.

This television works perfectly, but the screen is smaller than I had expected it to be. However, my husband loves it because he can actually watch it without having it connected to our cable so he is able to take it with him on the patio or out in the garage while he is working or exercising. The car charger is also an added plus!

I wanted a small DVD player and was delighted to find this one yesterday for just under $80 at Sam's Club. I live 45-50 miles from the nearest TV station, so I was delighted to find all but one of the channels I get on my big TV. The tiny little antenna works surprisingly well and the picture quality is very good. I watched a DVD this morning, and that worked well, too. The following accessories were included in the package: car adapter, AV cables to hook DVD player to large TV, AC/DC adapter/charger, antenna, and an adapter for attaching to cable TV. This little entertainer will definitely be traveling with me.

The TV works great,,resolution is so good ,very compact and sleek..swivel screen is superb , it has an antenna with a magnetic base,,so make sure you put it near the window with metallic base...

Great value for the dollar. Sam's sells it for under $100. I bought it mainly for the DC operation. I can connect it to a 12v battery in the event of a power outage. In Pensacola, FL we worry about hurricanes and the concomitant power outages. Previously, I used an AC/DC tv that draws a couple of hundred watts of power and that is quite a drain on the 12 volt trolling motor battery that I use as a power source. I was pleasantly surprised at the large number of air-wave stations that it captured. The DVD produces a very acceptable picture. I plan on giving one of these units to each of our four older grandchildren. Additional information: NUTS!! As of June 15, 2001, the unit is defective! The power switch is non functional and the power stays ON all the time. So, the unit must be kept plugged in at all times. Phillips rapidly sent a warranty replacement; however, it was a battle speaking with the service representative due to a language barrier. I speak decent English; what she spoke was heavily accented, barely understandable and she had no product knowledge. The matter took 30 minutes of telephone time. I was pleasantly surprised that a Phillips representative made a follow-up telephone call to me, informing me that the replacement had been shipped and he reviewed the return shipping instructions in very understandable, unaccented English.
